John Followed his father's footsteps and joined the union pipefitter apprentice program when he was 18 years old. A year later, he made what he still calls the smartest choice he ever made, and married his wife, Peggy. On January 2, 1969, John opened his own business, temperature, inc.
John has been an active member of ACAA (Air Conditioning Contractor's of America) for thirty years, and has served on the association's Board of Directors for the last six. He has served on the Memphis and SHelby County Mechanical Board since 1991, and is the past president of several industry-related organizations, including the Memphis Mechanical Contractor Association, the Memphis Refrigeration Service Engineers Society, and the Mid-South Air Conditioning Contractors of America (which he co-founded).
John was elected chairman of ACCA National in Washington , DC for the 2003-2004 year, and assumed his leadership role at the association's annual conference on March 15, 2003. John serves as Past National Chairman, and on several other board/committee positions.
